The Stars was originally designed by Bohus Stickning / Kerstin Olsson in 1964 and was recreated by Pernille Silfverberg in 2019.

To recreate The Stars original charts were closely studied and vintage garments carefully examined in museums and private collections to make sure that the resulting patterns and yarns would match the original Bohus Stickning garments as closely as possible.

For The Stars all yarns are 50% angora and 50% merino. The pattern color yarns are hand dyed by Pernille to match the original Bohus Stickning pattern colors. The main color is natural white or light pink.

The angora comes from AngoraGarnet’s own angora rabbits. We guarantee that our rabbits are treated humanely and live healthy lives. We also guarantee that the merino wool we use is produced without the controversial practice mulesing.
