The Steve Shawl
This is a crochet crescent shaped lace shawl that is easy to make. The final size if you follow the pattern is 65 inches (wingspan) x 25 inches (from back of neck to end).
MATERIALS NEEDED:
You will need one cake of YarnArt Flowers that has 1000m or 1094yds. I used a size 3mm crochet hook. A wool needle to work in ends and lots of stitch markers, which will make the job easier from about halfway to the end, as the rows get longer.
OPTIONAL:
If you want to add beads to the last row (row 53) of the pattern only, then you will need # 6 / 4mm glass beads (215 beads) and a size 10 steel crochet hook. The steel crochet hook is to pick up the bead and transfer it to the stitch to which you want to add the beads.
I added contrast colour beads to two other rows:
- In Row 30 I added 125 beads.
- In Row 42 I added 177 beads.
DIFFERENT YARN TYPES:
You can use any yarn that recommends a size 3mm hook, as long as you have 1000m or 1094yds of it.
