This is a step-by-step tutorial pattern for a hand crocheted double thickness rug or chair seat cushion “The Sun”, which can be used as chair (stool, bench, armchair etc.) seat cover or decoration. The back of the cushion is one-colour (bright orange).
The pattern can be made up with any yarn. The instructions have been tested on several types of yarn and thread. If you use a different yarn brand or type, use an average hook size between the smallest and largest on the yarn label. Variations and experimentations are unlimited!

The approximate diameter of the crocheted rug or chair seat cushion without fringe is about 41 cm (about 16.1 inch), with fringe about 60 cm (about 23.6 inch). The size of the circle may vary depending on the type of yarn, hook size and how tightly you crochet.
