The Sunderland design, with its cables and lace, makes a bold, somewhat geometrical statement while still being feminine. The scarf has 4-stitch cables separated by slipped stitching and lacy diamonds in between. This design can also be used to create a wrap or shawl with alternating slipped stitch cabled columns; however, a separate Sunderland Wrap/Shawl pattern with both 4- and 6-stitch cables is available.
