The Swing is a soft, warm, and easy to knit boomerang shawl. The sample is knit up in soft natural alpaca with eyelet rows in a contrasting color. Tassels are optional but give the shawl a nice drape.

This pattern is easy to follow and is suitable for advanced beginner knitters and up. The sample is knitted up in handspun yarns but suggested substitutes are contained within the pattern. Any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.

Knit up in stockinette stitch with contrasting eyelet rows on US 6 needles, the shawl is warm with a nice drape. The pattern is clearly and concisely written and suitable for advanced beginner knitters and up. It has an i-cord bin off and contains basic instructions on how to knit this. Some knowledge of how to knit i-cords is helpful.

You will need 600 yards of worsted weight yarn in the main color, and approximately 200 yards of the contrast color for this pattern.
