Update published correcting an error at beginning of border, plus replacement photos showing corrected border.

As so many throughout the world find themselves unemployed, I felt that this would be an ideal pattern written specifically to use your leftover yarn in various weights. Of course if you are able to support Indie dyers that would be ideal.

Begin working flat before eventually joining in the round. You will change colours every two rows/rounds until commencing the lace border in a single colour.
The border benefits greatly from blocking therefore a natural fibre is highly recommended.

The stockinette portion (A) is worked in either fingering weight held doubled (appx 200 metres) OR a single strand of DK (appx 100 metres). Original blue/grey sample used Regia held doubled.

The garter rows/rounds (B) could be in either fingering or DK but in a solid colour to complement A and using similar quantities to A. Original sample used Bendigo.

Lace edging (C) was worked in sport weight but could easily be worked in fingering weight. (appx 115 metres). Original sample used Knit Picks.

A pattern created during the time of COVID19 isolation but named for Police everywhere who are rarely given the credit they are due.
