Once upon a time there was a happy bear family; Papa Bear in a waistcoat and trousers, Mama Bear in a dress and shoes, and Baby Bear in trousers with braces. The outfits are removable (apart from Mama Bear’s shoes). Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the bears and outfits are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, toy eyes, stitch holder and stitch markers, and buttons to decorate.

SIZES
One size only - Mama and Papa Bears are 24cm tall, and Baby Bear is 15cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
