The Toasty Woolover
Working as a fibre assistant to Disdero Ranch located in the North Thompson Valley of British Columbia, I am endlessly inspired by the yarn, the sheep & goats, the beautiful surroundings, and the hard work and practicality of farm life. The Toasty Woolover is a rugged and unadorned unisex sweater with a tight gauge and loose fit to be worn as a warm extra layer for those cold-season days. It features a seamlessly integrated front pocket deep enough to hold what you need and a generous hood that can accommodate a toque.

Construction
- The Toasty Woolover is worked from the bottom up and in the round to the armholes after the split folded hem.
- The pocket utilizes double knitting in the round, flat knitting (back and forth) and short rows.
- Front and back are separated at the armpit and worked flat until the shoulder seams are joined in a three-needle bind off.
- The sleeves are worked in the round, top down, concluding in folded cuffs that are whip stitched in place by hand.
- The generous hood is worked flat and grafted at the top for a seamless finish.
- I-cord edging at the neckline blends into a folded hem around the hood that creates a pocket for a cord of your choice to be thread through.
