The Torridon Shrug

Inspired by the chunky knits on the show Outlander, I designed this shrug using a Celtic basket weave pattern using Aran weight yarn. The name Torridon comes from the Scottish Loch around which nine generations of my father’s family lived. The pattern uses front and back post stitches to create the basket weave for the main garment with ribbed edges added for finishing.
