To keep warm on chilly night, a shawl is the constant companion of a weary traveler. Shell and bobble openwork worked in a rich aran yarn forms a v-shaped shawl that can be draped over the shoulders, and tied off with ornate, macrame style tassels.

All that is needed to begin your journey is one skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn, in Autumn Red, and a size J/10 (6.00mm) crochet hook. This pattern includes a written pattern for the shawl, and simple instructions on how to make the tassels.

MATERIALS
300 yds of aran/worsted weight yarn
Size J/10 (6mm) crochet hook

DIFFICULTY
This pattern is recommended for advanced beginners. The techniques employed are not by any means difficult, however the process of beginning and ending the rows may be confusing for those who are very new to crochet.
