The Tree of Life shawl was inspired by the tree motifs that used to be popular in many folk crafts. It is an incredibly beautiful crochet shawl where texture stitches create tree silhouettes repeating over the fabric.

You need to know basic crocheting stitches, have some previous crocheting experience, and be ready to concentrate and follow the instructions carefully. The process goes much easier once you get the idea and remember the repeat.

The dimensions of the shawl (the widest part along top edge is about 120cm/47”, and the depth (from the middle of the wide edge to triangular peak) is about 66cm/26”) are given for 2 skeins of yarn that has 400 meters in 100 grams and 3.5 mm crochet hook. Please, note that you may use any yarn you want, just be ready to experiment and make several samples with different hook sizes to obtain the density and the fabric that look good to you.
