The Trout is a rectangular scarf of 45 x 185 cm.

It features a fairly easily done lace pattern - a combination of knit and purl, yarn overs, k2tog and ssk, therefore appropriate for lace beginners with basic knitting knowledge.

The name “The Trout” derives from its obvious resemblance to the scales of a fish.

The pattern is written in detail and also contains a chart.
