The Tycho Bra
This sporty top was designed for the fundraising event “Walk the Walk”, a walking marathon in aid of breast cancer research where participants, female and male, walk in a bra all night.
Most of the Walk the Walk participants decorate their bras, and I designed this bra cover especially for Emma Kennedy who is a huge fan of Danish crime thriller The Killing (Forbrydelsen) in which the main character, Sarah Lund, wears a number of amazing hand-knit nordic jumpers, hence the fair-isle pattern.
As this is a sporty top, I wanted it to be soft, sturdy and non-chafing, so the chosen yarn, Coton Fifty from Bergère de France is a blend of cotton and acrylic and the whole top is worked in the round so that it is completely seamless.
