The Upside Down Shawl
Inspired by my favourite Netflix series, Stranger Things, this shawl uses moody colours to create a large squishy triangular shawl to wrap up in while fighting Demodogs or riding your bike in cold November air.
This shawl is knitted from the bottom point upwards towards the longest edge, by working increases at the beginning of each row. The long edge is cast off and tassels are made separately and attached to each of the 3 points of the shawl. You can stripe your main colour with mohair, as in the sample shown, or you can use one colour, or even several different colours.
Shawl is one size, but you can keep on knitting and make a larger shawl. Just remember to adjust your yardage accordingly.
The hat I’m wearing in the photo is the Skyhill Hat by Emily Foden, from her amazing book ‘Knits About Winter’.
