An extremely practical, deceptively simple flip-top mitten that will keep your hands warm while you text your friends and dig for small change in your wallet. Special construction for an invisible flip-top seam. Unisex. Available in 5 sizes from young teen to grown man.

Sizes available for the following hand circumferences, measured around the knuckles:
XS: 15 cm (6 in)
S: 17 cm (6 3/4 in)
M: 19 cm (7 1/2 in)
L: 21 cm (8 1/4 in)
XL: 23 cm (9 in)

Gauge obtained while working in the round in stockinette stitch.

Materials needed: Double-pointed or circular 2.5 mm/US size 1 1/2 knitting needles for main part of mitten, 2.75 mm/US size 2 for fingers & thumb. 4 stitch holders. 2 stitch markers. Scrap yarn.

Requires one to two 50g skeins of sock/fingering weight yarn. Wool, wool blend, or acrylic recommended. Self-striping yarns may be used. Sample knitted in Filatura Di Crosa Maxime Print.

Errata: On the fingers, the pattern says to add extra stitches using the cable cast-on method. I have since found that it is easier and neater to use a barred increase (knit through front and back loops) instead.
