I created this Very Hungry Caterpillar crocheted hat for my Mother that is a teacher in elementary school. After she saw this one she gave me a list of more characters to make for reading time. It was a big hit. This pattern is designed after the Very Hungry Caterpillar book by Eric Carle. It is a book I remember fondly from my own childhood. The features are one size fits most but please keep in mind newborn to 12 month old sized beanies will result in large features on small hat. You can remedy this by omitting a round from each during construction or just let it have cute large features on the hat. Happy crafting!
