The Vicar's Tea Cosy
This pattern is
available for free.
This tea cosy has been designed using a worsted weight cotton yarn in three colours. The cosy base is made in one piece using Slip stitch rib in rows. Surface crochet is then added. The whole pattern uses only chain and slip stitch.
The 5 page pattern includes a schematic, stitch diagram and photos. Directions have been included to increase the size of the cosy. The accompanying blog post also gives suggestions for alternative embellishment.
Made using 3 colours of Scheepjes Bloom, the cosy base uses 54grams.
The surface crochet, here done in two colours use 8 and 10grams.
I’ll always do the best I can to help if you get stuck!
