The VIROQUA WALL POCKET
The VIROQUA WALL POCKET works up fairly quickly by attaching your yarn to a ring (wood or metal) and increasing as you go.
There are many uses for this wall pocket and they are only limited to your imagination! Here are some ideas:
~ Plants/succulents/flowers
~ Mail
~ Toiletries and/or guest bath items such as hand towels, washcloths, etc.
~ Entryway “drop” items. (My husband likes to have a place to dump the change out of his pocket as he walks in the door.)
~ Books
~ Yarn & crochet hooks, of course!
~ Many more!
There is no gauge necessary for this pattern and you can easily customizable.
Bernat Maker is a great yarn for this, but can sometimes be hard to find, depending on your location. Amazon and Yarnspirations.com are my sources. But there are many other options, such as t-shirt-type yarn and doubled-up cotton yarn.
You’ll need a minimum of approximately 95 yards of yarn.
Use a wooden ring - 2.75” for the pattern as written. If you choose to increase the size of your wall pocket, I’d suggest going up a larger size and using a metal ring.
There are a few finishing options - leave as is. Add a tassel with a wooden bead (or not), or fringe, or use some “S” hooks for extra hanging space.
Have fun with this modern, useful pattern!
