The Watcher's Eye Wrist Warmers
I’m a huge fan of The Magnus Archives, and have been wanting to create something inspired by the podcast for a while now. These wrist warmers picture a stylized eye in a repeating pattern worked in the round. The style is loosely modeled after a Turkish Evil Eye, though after completing the project I noticed how it was also quite reminiscent of the Eye of Sauron!
After viewing some amazing fan art of The Magnus Archives characters, I’ve adopted the mental image of Jonathan Sims (or it is The Archivist, now?) as a rather skinny guy. This makes me imagine him as a rather chilly guy, especially working deep in the archives, thus, the wrist warmers! Keep those pulse points warm while sorting through papers!
This project uses a worsted weight yarn. This does make them slightly more bulky than something with fingering yarn, but I think it makes a huge difference in keeping my hands and wrists warm.
