This is an Intermediate/Advanced level knitting pattern. The double knitting technique that is used to created the double sided colorwork can be a little challenging to learn, but prior experience with this technique is not necessary to be able to make this scarf. However, basic colorwork experience and a good understanding of reading patterns is strongly recommended. I designed this pattern to be an introduction to double knit colorwork, so there are long hand written out instructions for the double knit colorwork and video tutorials that contain all of the information you need are linked in the pattern.
This pattern only has one size that creates a 6 in (15 cm) wide scarf and the recommended length is 72 in (183 cm) but you can adjust the length as much as you want. But I did include some instructions on adjusting the width if you would like to use a different yarn weight or you want to make a wider scarf.

Techniques Used: Reading Colorwork Charts, Double Knit Cast On, Double Knit Stockinette W/ Color Changes, Double Knit Cast off.

MATERIALS:
-Needles: 5 mm (US 8) knitting needles (straight or circular), or the size necessary to obtain gauge.
-Yarn: 2 colors of bulky (#5) or heavy worsted (#4) weight yarn, I recommend using a wool or acrylic yarn. For best results at least one of the colors should be solid and the darker of the two colors should be used as color A. My sample is made with Petite wool in the the colors ‘yarnicorn’ and ‘natural’.
-Color A: approx. 152 g/5.36 oz. To add the optional tassels, you will need an additional 15-20 g/0.5-0.7 oz.
-Color B: approx. 152 g/5.36 oz.
-Yarn that was used by me or the pattern’s testers: Petite Wool, Yarn Bee: Tender Touch, Hobbii Amigo Chunky, Rico Design Creative Melange Chunky, Cascade Eco Wool, Brooklyn Tweed Quarry, Cascade 220, Yarn Bee: Must be Merino Aran, Hobbii Fluffy Day XL, Plymouth Yarns: Chunky Merino Superwash

Other supplies:
-2 removeable stitch markers
-Scissors to cut your yarn
-Tapestry needle
-Crochet hook (used to add tassels to your scarf)
