This is an advanced beginner / intermediate knitting pattern.

This hat is knitted in the round.

This hat is sized for an average woman’s head 20-22 in circumference. It has 3 length sizes from fitted (8 in length from brim to top), slightly slouchy (9 in length from brim to top), or slouchy (10 in length from brim to top). If you would a looser brim or extra slouchy size up the brim from 6.5mm to 8mm and for the body from 8mm to 9mm. If you do size up the brim make sure you are sizing up the body. You can still knit the hat in 6.5mm and size up the body from 8mm to 9mm.

This beanie pattern requires a bulky 5 yarn. I used Patrons Colorwool and I believe it’s discontinued. I also used Loop and Threads Charisma. Both of these yarns on on the bulkier side. If using a smaller bulky 5 like the Scarfie yarn from Lion Brand. I recommend sizing up the body from 8mm to 9mm.
