Materials:
5.00mm(U.S H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Aran (worsted weight) yarn. I used Paintbox Yarn Simply Aran in the colour Light Caramel (208). You will also need a second colour from your stash for the edging. See chart below for approximately how much yarn you will need.

Gauge:
20 stitches/18 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) square in alternating
sc/ch1 or Granite/Moss stitch

st or sts- stitch or stitches
ch- chain stitch
sp- space
sl st- slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
ch1/sk1- chain one and skip one stitch
fpdc- front post double crochet
bpdc- back post double crochet
sc2tog- single crochet two stitches together
granite stitch- sc in each ch space, chain 1 and skip each single

RS- right side
WS- wrong side
PSM- place stitch marker
RSM- remove stitch marker
