Use 330 yards of the main colour (cream in the example piece) and 280 yards of the second colour (pink). Use a 5mm hook or, when you’re a tight crocheter, a 4,5mm hook. Choose a nice fabric to line the bag and a lovely (leather) shoulder band and you’re good to go.

The pattern comes with written instructions as well as a chart to make the stripes. I’ve added pictures in places that needed extra instructions. This is a 2 out of 5 star level pattern and uses only sc stitches.
