The Wicked Queen of Skulls
The Wicked Queen of Skulls is called wicked since she will drive you made with delight or frustration. She is not for the faint of heart and will make you work for her. For the center she will make you use up to 16 bobbins to create the skulls of the doily. However there is always help when needed with lots of photos to help you along your way. If you don’t think you can handle her wickedness go seek out her twin sister The Divine Queen of Skulls pattern.
This is a play off of my first ever doily I wrote simply called Skull Doily. Always thinking it could become more, I took it to the next level and created more flare. If you like skulls you can have them in the beautiful doily way. It is a unique and great little piece to add to your home.
This measuring at 12-14 inches across (this depends on the thickness of the cotton string used.
I use the recommended size for the thread or my go to’s of 1.9 mm or desired hook depending on the feel of the piece. I use size 10 thread.
