I designed The William Beanie in honor of my son James’ special dog William. William is a miniature dachshund who is 11 years old and blind in both eyes. James and William are inseparable friends!

This pattern is written for 3 yarn weights: bulky, such as Malabrigo Chunky, heavy bulky, such as Manos del Uruguay Franca or Baah Sequoia, and super bulky, such as Malabrigo Rasta.

Make sure not to knit the cable too tightly. Best not to knit too tightly overall, and if you are a tight knitter feel free to go up a needle size.
