This pattern came about because of a yarn purchase. I had this yummy navy merino superwash that I imagined as a long, fat squishy shawl/wrap. One that could be so elegantly draped over one shoulder, with the other end hanging straight down. Maybe held in place with a fabulous shawl pin. That pattern did not exist. Not the one in my head. So I wrote one. The width and size may be adjusted easily as desired by the knitter. I recommend blocking gently. Lay wrap out flat, pin at the pane corners.
