The Windrow collection is an adaption of my spiral gloves and hat pattern and dalgali scarf.

Windrow refers to the rows of cut grass in a field while drying, making stripes that follow the contour of the land.
The hat, fingerless gloves and scarf all use a simple pattern in two colours to create stripes with a lovely corrugated texture and an alternate striped rolled edge.

The patterns a worked flat on straight or circular needles, then joined at the end, either a 3 needle bind off or stitching together.

Short rows are used to shape the thumb and the crown of the hat.

The hat has 2 sizes and the gloves can be short or longer on the wrist and wide or narrow.
The scarf starts with a few stitches and can be as large as you want to keep going.

With 2 x 100g of 4ply you can make one pair of gloves, one hat, then use the rest to make the scarf.

Yarn amounts
Gloves 35 - 50g
