When carrying colours, do not make floats more than 3 stitches, and do not pull too tight! Twist from below so that the contrast colour stands out against the background. During the decrease rounds, once it gets uncomfortable to use circulars, switch to dpns.
The hat done on 9mm needles produces a hat that will fit teens and the average woman (tight fit.) Use 10mm needles for a larger hat (for a man) or for a slouchy woman’s hat.
