This cozy cardigan is provided with a zipper which may cause you some difficulties during your work. Many knitters dodge trying the zipper in their practice due to the apparent difficulty of sewing it. But, we all know how convenient it is to wear something zippy.
At my time I’ve spent years trying all the well-known methods of sewing the zipper and decorating it on the WS in the way. So, here I suggest you to look at the outcome of my efforts.This zipper doesn’t have bubbles around it and it doesn’t tighten the knitting fabric. The WS also looks pretty decent.

A) Egil GoldManYarn 50g/200 meters (219 yards) (95% Merino Wool, 5% Acrylic); alternate yarn - Malabrigo Sock 50g/ 220 yards (201 meters) (100% Superwash Merino Wool).
B) Drops Alpaca mix 50g/167 meters (183 yards) (100% Alpaca).
C) Opal Hundertwasser 100 g/425 meters (465 yards) (75% Superwash Merino Wool; 25% Polyamide).

Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm/4ʺ measured over st st using 5,0 mm (US 8) needles.

Materials: 5mm (US 8) and 4.5mm (US 7) circular needles. Needles 2,75 mm (US 2) – for knitting stripes. Zipper 55-65 cm (60-71 yards) - the length is usually defined during the knitting process. Transparent sewing thread (in white). Mouline «Madeira» Six Strand embroidery floss (10m/11 yards, 100% Cotton), color 2112 or 2107. Crotchet 4 mm.
