Thelma Socks
This pattern has some beginner-friendly stranded knitting and some other easy colour work.
You need to be familiar with sock knitting as I don’t provide instructions for the heel. My all-times favourite is Fish Lips Kiss heel by Sox Therapist and I do a mini gusset to adapt fit for a higher instep. Mini gusset instructions are given but you can use any short-row heel or your favourite heel. There are instructions for classic wedge toe if you want to use them.
It comes in three sizes and with a 2 stitches pattern repeat it ‘s sure easy to be adapted to your needs. The overall sock has about the same stretch as a vanilla. Choose your size accordingly.
Testers used approximately 60 – 70 g MC and 18 – 25g CC depending on size. Use of leftovers is encouraged.
Pattern is written out for one colour band and the stranded part is charted only.
I big thank you to my wonderful testers.
Play with the colors and enjoy your socks!
