This cowl incorporates three stitch patterns, all based on a seed stitch theme. The first is a lace repeat pattern, the second is a smaller lace pattern, and the third is a textured pattern. It can be knit either in a silk blend yarn at a looser gauge for a drapey summer cowl or with sock yarn for a regular snuggly cowl.

• silk blend or drapey yarns: small 7” wide x 47” circumference (large 7” wide x 55” circumference), 370 (430) yards. US 7 circular needle.
• merino or merino/nylon sock yarns: small 6” wide x 49” circumference (large 6” wide x 56” circumference), 350 (425) yards. US 6 circular needle.

Pattern includes both written and charted directions.
