Theme and Variations Cape-let
I hope this will become one of your favorite designs, as it has with me. I have included in this pattern designs for four versatile garments, derived from a single basic pattern, thus the name Theme and Variations Cape-let. They are bigger than cowls and lighter than some ponchos. All contain mock cables and mock eyelet cables so no cable needle is required! They provide rich visual interest with a lighter texture than true cables. I often turn to one of these Variations to match a particular yarn that I love. The fabric is draped and relaxed, my knitting is neither tight nor loose and the pattern sizing has generous positive ease. After making my seventh garment, I decided it was time to share my Theme and Variations Cape-let design with you!
Errata: The pattern has been updated, but if you have an earlier version, there is a correction to all 4 Variations.
Section 3, Rd 4 should read:
K1, yo, K1, P2. Repeat * to * to end of round.
(The K3, P2 should be deleted.) My apologies!
