“This light cardigan has a pattern of diverging ribs on the upper sleeve, which is accomplished by discreetly placed increases and decreases. Themis is the name of a group of asteroids in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Since the yarn color was inspired by meteorites, I thought it fitting that the garment should have a related name. When I think of the colors that make up the yarn, and of the materials that make up the asteroid belt, I am reminded that all the heavier elements in existence were formed inside stars millions of years ago, and blown into our universe by supernovae. This thought always has a way of putting things into perspective, don’t you agree?” – Robin Melanson
