Theory is worked from end to end and overall is a rectangular shape. There is a bit of short row shaping at the neck to allow the shawl to comfortably wrap when worn. You can tie the tails in the front as pictured if you like :)

The Claudia Handpainted lace yarns used are yummy but any laceweight would work - approximately 675 yards of the MC and 440 yards of the CC (tails) are required.
