There and Back Again: Tom Bombadil
“Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow,
Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow.
None has ever caught him yet, for Tom, he is the Master:
His songs are stronger songs, and his feet are faster.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
This shawl is a relaxing knit with an easy-to-memorize repeat and is constructed asymmetrically, which allows the knitter to blissfully knit until it’s time to bind off. The squishy garter body allows a meditative zen then you get to the border with a bit of eyelet knitting and a fun fringe.
