There and Back Again: You Are Welcome Anytime
“If any of you ever pass through Bag End, tea is at four. There’s plenty of it. You are welcome anytime. Don’t bother knocking.” Bilbo Baggins
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
This shawl is a relaxing knit with an easy to memorize repeat and is constructed asymmetrically, however the last section of short-rows balances this shawl back out to almost symmetrical shaping, which allows the knitter to blissfully knit until it’s time to bind off. The squishy garter body allows a meditative zen while the border is just enough to hold interest.
