This shawl features a two unique cable stitches that are combined with a Shetland faggotting stitch. The three stitches together make a striking and unusual shawl. It is a fun knit, and goes fairly quickly as it’s knit using heavy fingering weight yarn. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. The large cable contains clusters (smocking). Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.

The stitches are both charted and written out.

Skill level: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of cable and lace knitting).

The final size is 22 1/2 inches by 72 - 74 inches.

There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable lace knitting). It is suitable for a beginner + with a little bit of cable lace experience.

The yarn used in the sample is Mrs. Crosby Plays, Hat Box yarn in colorway, Greystone.
