When asked what my partner wanted in a hat, her instant response was, “PONYTAIL HOLE!!!!” I couldn’t find a beanie pattern I loved with a ponytail hole. This led me to create this pattern that checks all of the boxes: athletic, warm, breathable, well fitted, reversible, and fun!

This hat is worked in the round using a reversible 1.5 thickness thermal crochet stitch that results in a plush warm fabric. The stitches are worked into the previous two rounds at the same time making for a unique piece that is enjoyable to work up.
