These are not your normal mittens. They are knitted to a tight tension, using a slip stitch pattern that eats up the yarn - you’ll need more than 80g of DK weight yarn per pair - but the resulting fabric is thick and warm and really keeps out the cold.

The mittens are worked in the round and are sized to fit my (small) adult hand, although tips are given on adjusting the fit.
