THI is a cropped, mock-neck tee with modern striped detailing on the right shoulder. Worn fitted to the body or relaxed and boxy, Thi connotes an elegant air of grace and sophistication.

Thi means “poetry” in Vietnamese. This sweater design is inspired by and in honor of my sister-in-law, Viet-Thi Ta, who embodies beauty, loyalty, and unyielding strength with lightness and ease.

This pattern is #sizeinclusive. See sizing details below!

MATERIALS

Yarn:
Thi uses fingering weight yarn, knit at a moderately loose gauge. One style option (as shown in Sample 2 – Black) is to use lace weight mohair, held double, for the CC. Sport weight yarn can be used as well, and will result in a slightly denser fabric.

Sample 1 – Yellow, size 4, modeled on 38” bust with 3” positive ease
Brooklyn Tweed Loft, 100% Targhee-Columbia wool, 275yds/ 251m per 50g
MC: Hayloft
CC: Meteorite

Sample 2 – Black, size 3, modeled on 38” bust with 0” positive ease
MC: Kelbourne Woolens Perennial, 60% superwash merino, 25% suri alpaca, 15% nylon, 497 yds/ 454m per 100g, in Black
CC: Isager Silk Mohair, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, 231 yds/ 212m per 25g, held double, in Marl Brown

Yardage:

MC: 585, 640, 700, (740, 775, 800), ((850, 880, 915)), (((960, 1030, 1080))) yds/ 640, 700, 765, (809, 848, 875), ((930, 962, 1000)), (((1050, 1126, 1181))) m

CC: 31, 31, 37, (37, 44, 44), ((50, 50, 50)), (((50, 50, 50))) yds/ 29, 29, 34, (34, 41, 41), ((46, 46, 46)), (((46, 46, 46))) m
