Introducing the Thicc AF Advent Scarf:

Me in 2024: NOT ANOTHER FINGERING WEIGHT MINI SKEIN PROJECT!!! NO!!! PLEASE!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love my fingering weight minis. In fact, I’m addicted. And I LOVE Advents and Advent knits! But what I really want for Christmas this year is a chunky infinity scarf. Chunky, bulky knits are so cute. But how do you make a fingering weight into bulky weight? Sure, you could hold multiple strands together, but you are always losing the effect of those more intricate colorways. Speckles, small pops of color, etc, can all get lost when you’re doubling, tripling, or quadrupling your yarn.

So… what’s a designer to do? Icord it. No, really, icord you advent! Best of all, you literally CAN’T lose your place; every row is the same! Weaving in ends? No problem! Knot those minis and pull the tails into the cord. This is quite possibly the easiest advent design ever. So, what do you do with this new, giant, yarn ball when you’re done? The real fun begins, of course! Pull out your big needles and get to work on a super simple ribbed scarf. Block it (to give you added width), and then seam ‘er up for the easiest, chunkiest, cutest, thicc af advent knit ever.
What can I say except “You’re welcome”??? Enjoy and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
