I used Sugar n Cream cotton yarn to make this soap saver. But any similar yarn will work! It is worked flat. Optional size H/8-5mm crochet hook to make the rope, directions are included for with and without.

It was made to fit over a full size bar of Ivory soap. It should fit most whole bars of soap. Since this is a cinch close soap saver, it will also hold small pieces of soap.
