This is a cosy set for chilly days. The hat may be worn slouchy or with the cuff folded for a neater look with warmer ears.

The cowl can also be worn folded over or not. Folded for those milder days and unfolded to cover your cheeks and nose when the weather is more severe.

This design was so much fun to create. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Yarn:
Roughly 710 - 750 yards of Madelinetosh DK Twist or Alice Starmore Hebridean 3ply yarn.
Samples have been worked in Madelinetosh DK Twist Cousteau.

Finished Hat Dimensions:
Unstretched - 13” ribbed cuff (6.5” flat), 16.5” crown (8.25” flat) by 11” long including the 2.25” ribbed cuff.

Finished Cowl Dimensions:
Unstretched - 21” circumference at top (10.5” flat), 26” circumference at bottom (13” flat) by 10.5” high including both (2) 1.5” ribbed cuffs.

Gauge:
34 stitches by 33 rows = 4” Cable Pattern

Needles:
Hat: 16” circular US6/4.00mm & US7/4.50mm and a set of US7/4.50mm DPNs.
Cowl: 20” circular US6/4.00mm.

Tools:
(2) Cable needles (CN), Tapestry/Darning needle, Stitch/Row Marker

Construction:
Knit in the round from bottom up.
Always reading chart from right to left.
