• DESCRIPTION:
Alternating textured sections with rows of single and double crochets gives this washcloth a great texture. The bumpy sections divided by solid rows give it wonderful visual interest.

• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 16 DC and 12 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 10 inches by 10.5 inches.

• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
( ) = work all in the same stitch or space
* * = repeat what is within the asterisks the indicated number of times

To change the width of the beginning chain, work a multiple of 2.

• MATERIALS:
About 120 yards of I Love This Cotton in the color Olive Green or any #4 cotton or cotton blend.
A 4.0 mm (F) hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch markers if desired.
