Think of Japan While Knitting
July 2011
We are knitting and crocheting to raise money for Japan’s earthquake relief efforts. We are making a blanket to sell. 100% of the proceeds will be donated via Ashinaga Ikueikai (NPO that supports orphans of the earthquake for their educational funding). The relief efforts and needs for assistance will continue long after the media coverage ends. Spare moments to think of Japan while you knit(crochet).
Each contributor crochets an about 10cm x 10 cm motif(s). The pattern will be provided in a pictorial Japanese knitting notation. We suggest yarn weight DK, worsted, or aran, and crochet hook size 4.5mm.
