Difficulty level: Beginner
The Third Knit Garter Hat is a simple garter stitch hat with a stunning star design in the crown. Eight different colors were used in the sample hat, but you can use as many worsted weight yarns as you like in this unisex and spectacularly cozy cap.
Construction details The Third Knit Garter Hat is worked flat (back and forth) from the bottom up. The hat is worked back and forth and then seamed. Knitting the hat flat allows for the garter stitch to be worked as all knit; plus, the seams provide a nice place for the tails to be woven in.
