This little piggy stayed warm! From cartoons to pets, pigs are adorable fun. Holding yarn double makes this neck-buddy knit up deceptively fast. The button closure keeps your piggy secure and cowl-like around your neck.
Materials
Yarn:
Main Color: worsted weight, 440 yds (402 m).
Trim Color: worsted weight, 34 yds (31 m).
Waste Yarn: similar in weight to the main yarn (smooth cotton is best, although anything that won’t snag or felt will do) for the provisional cast on. 10 yds (9 m).
Shown in:
Main Color: Cascade Yarns, 220 in colorway Soft Pink (4192), 100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 220 yds per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein. 2 skeins completely used.
Trim Color: Cascade Yarns, 220 in colorway Tutu (9477), 100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 220 yds per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein. 34 yds (31 m) used.
Needles: One set U.S. size 15 (10.0 mm) double pointed needles. U.S. size 13 (9.0 mm) single pointed needles or circular needle (any length). One set U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles. One set U.S. size 2 (2.75 mm) double pointed needles.
Gauge: 12.5 stitches and 15 rounds = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) on U.S. size 15 (10.0 mm) needles, with yarn held double. Not blocked. Remember to knit your sample in the round!
Notions: U.S. P (11.5 mm) crochet hook, tapestry needle, 2 stitch holders or waste yarn, one stitch marker (large enough to fit on needles) for beginning of round, 4 locking stitch markers (you must be able to unlock them as well!): 2 in color X and 2 in color Y, for marking the positions of the front feet and ears (2 shades of waste yarn work just as well), 2 black 5/8” (16 mm) buttons, 1 clear or pink 5/8” (16 mm) button, 2 black 1/4” (6 mm) buttons, sewing needle, pink sewing thread, and black sewing thread.
Finished Measurements: 36” (91.5cm) long and 7.5” (19 cm) wide.
