Thank you for supporting small designers like myself. My little business would not exist without your support.
Much gratitude. :)
Inspiration:
My inspiration was simply the Thistle plant. Despite its pesky, noxious nature, its beauty and perseverance is undeniable. Look closely, you will see the shades of purples in its delicate petals. This plant deserves recognition for its subtle beauty.
This is my version of a knitted Thistle, I played with texture by designing the receptacle with elongated stitches brought together to form an oval bobble. The petals are created by elongated stitches as well, however flared by clever decreases to balance the fabric.
I am always looking for new ways to represent nature. This beanie is playful and hipster in the best possible way. An ode to “weed” hooligan style.
Once thistle stitch was created, I came up with a “brilliant” idea to knit the pineapple (“Ananas”) and carrot (“Karot”) version. Why you ask? Well, pineapples are fun, delicious and in the funky fruit category, if you ask me ha-ha. Once the fruit idea was planted, I carried on with veggies. Hahaha, just being playful.
Hope you enjoy the versatility of this pattern.
Can you imagine rosehips or cornflower? Endless images pop in my head….
Enjoy 3 versions of this pattern.

Knitted bottom up, in the round, in one piece.
Cleverly designed to minimize purling the hat is worked intermittently on right side and wrong side, switching by using German DS.
