Thistle Down Hat
This hat comes in 2 sizes--sizes are created by changing yarn/needles/gauge. The small size requires about 110 yards of DK weight yarn, (21stitch/4 inches) the large size needs about 125 yards of worsted (17stitches/4inches) Both sizes are loose fitting. The small size is about 18 inches, and the large, about 22 --because the has is so soft and loose, it doesn’t cause much hat hair--for the same reason it is not suitable for infant --(under the age of 3)
The pattern is complex (each row is different!) but not really that hard to do if you can read your knitting.
There is no chart, no glossary of terms, and the directions PRESUME you know how to knit in round and are needle neutral. (You chose how to work--DPN’s/small circ/large circ(magic loop style))
Skills set required includes:
Simple Double Knitting
Increases (Kfb and YO’s)/Decreases (K2tog, SSK, K3tog (or Raised Center Decrease if desired))
