This stunning laptop case is modern with its Scottish inspired fair isle shown by the tartan and thistle fair isle design.

The case is knitted in the round with 3mm (2.5US) circular needles from the bottom up and then the bottom is sewn together.

The sample is knit with fingering weight yarn, Jamieson’s 2-Ply Spindrift (Shetland Wool), two balls of Ivory, and one ball of each of the three colours: Port Wine, Dark Navy, and Spruce. Each ball is 25 grams / 105 meters. However there are lots of other potential great colour combinations and other types of yarn that would suite this pattern!

The pattern involves instructions for one size (width 12.5” (32cm) by length 9” (23cm)) although this can easily be adjusted to make the case wider and or longer by adding repeats of the fair isle charts.

The pattern includes charts for the tartan and thistle fair isle sections of the case.
